Welcome to Trinity Presbyterian Day Care Center. Our center offers a full day preschool program for all children ages six weeks through preschool. Trinity Presbyterian Day Care Center is the primary mission of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Its purpose is to provide high quality Christian childcare for the families of Havelock/Cherry Point. This quality includes low class ratios, team teaching with well trained staff, good facilities, a developmentally appropriate curriculum, and nutritious meals. God’s love and our Christian ethics are the foundation of our entire program.
The center is open from 6:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are served each day according to the USDA guidelines for child nutrition.
We want your children to have the best possible teachers taking care of them, and we want you as parents to feel comfortable with our staff. All of our teachers have a physical examination and criminal background check when they are employed. They then receive training in First Aid and CPR (renewed annually), Fire Safety, Communicable Diseases, and if working in the nursery, SIDS training. The Lead Teachers in each room must have North Carolina Early Childhood Credential Certification plus an additional 9 semester hours in Early Childhood. Our Center also holds monthly staff meetings with refresher training on a wide range of childcare topics.
Trinity Presbyterian Church Day Care Center is licensed under North Carolina Division of Child Development. We are inspected annually by the State of North Carolina, Craven County Health Department, and Havelock Fire Department.
Each year, your child will participate in a variety of activities including a fall costume parade, Thanksgiving Lunch, a Christmas program, and graduation. We also have special visitors such as the aquarium, fire department, weatherman, and pet shop just to name a few. Each Friday the children attend chapel with singing and a Bible story by the pastor.
